Nick Tietz

Welcome to my minimalist resume and link site. One day I might even blog here too, probably not though. I'm an experienced senior software developer from the midwest. I'm used to taking on tasks and responsibilites above and beyond my job title, including but not limited to managing other IT jobs, security, policy writing, client and vendor relations, and project planning. I've been a professional software developer since 2012, but I grew up in the computer world, building and troubleshooting them since before I was a teenager. I have a lot of general experience to complement my career experience as a developer.

In my role as a Tech Architecture Assoc Manager at Accenture Federal Services, I quickly adapted by creating rapid prototypes in multiple cloud platforms for clients with new architecture changes and governance adjustments. I specialized in rethinking, developing, and optimizing client workflows in Azure, Palantir, Databricks, and dotnet.

Senior Software Developer

In my role as a Senior Software Developer at Advomas, I led the development of custom software solutions for managing caseload, billing, reporting, and client systems integration. I was responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from planning to maintenance. The software stack was my responsibility and I often chose to work with Windows solutions, C#, SQL, and JavaScript due to Advomas's client's preferences. Additionally, I integrated most solutions I created with Windows Active Directory to accommodate for Advomas's IT infrastructure. I was often the subject matter expert in Advomas's systems due to my longer tenure there.

Web Developer

In my role as a Computer Programmer at Teacher's Discovery, I developed dynamic educational web games with touch screen support and helped convert large educational textbooks into web friendly content. I also managed the migration of product and customer data to a new ecommerce platform using open source Linux image tools and mass SQL scripts.

In my role as a Maintenance Management Specialist in the Marine Reserves, I provided expert advice and supervision to ensure efficient maintenance operations for ground equipment. I oversaw the monitoring of maintenance policies and procedures, analyzing functional elements to support equipment management.

Member of the team receiving 1st place in the bi-annual CSE/CIT Senior Design Competition, organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at ACM Student Chapter at Oakland University, Rochester Michigan.
